Our Christmas in Texas Part 3

Christmas Eve

We were able to have a play date with Wyatt and Taylor!

We gave them cookies so we could take a picture of the two of them!

Wyatt-"Just let me eat my cookies!"

Helping dada open his presents.

Silly boy

Love these two so much!

Taking Molly for a ride on his tractor.

We had to change our plans while we celebrated Christmas in Wheeler because of a snowstorm. My sister had to leave early;( but at least she made it safely back to Amarillo.

Santa came!

Our Christmas in Texas Part 2

Thomas' Blue Tractor!
My parents gave Thomas a blue tractor that is just like Pops' for Christmas.

As soon as he sat on his tractor, he said, "key, key!"

He couldn't quite reach the pedals but that didn't stop him from cruising with his new wheels.

Playing with Momo's toddler friendly Christmas decorations.

I think Thomas looks like such a big boy in this picture.

I was pushing Thomas outside on his tractor, and I stopped to take his picture. Apparently, he didn't think that was a good idea.

Our Christmas in Texas Part 1

I am so thankful we are able to spend a week in Texas during Christmas because we are able to spend time with both of our families during Christmas.

First, our Christmas in Wheeler with my family.  Enjoy the pictures!

Family pictures! I was so grateful we were able to spend time with my aunt, uncle, and cousins this Christmas. I hadn't see them since last Thanksgiving.

Silly picture!

This picture makes me laugh!

I have no idea what is happening in this picture.

Keep the faith,

22 months

Thomas, you turned 22 months on December 23rd!!!

We continue to play hide-and-seek every evening. Now you will lay under your large stuffed brown bear and yell "HELP" when you want us to find you!!!

You love listening to country music on dada's ipad and you can find the app for tune-in radio on his iPad. You can unlock our iPad and find your apps. You have been able to do this for a while but I don't think I have mentioned it before. You love playing with the iPad but we save it for when we are eating at restaurants or traveling.

You are showing some interests in using the potty. Before you take a bath, you will say tee-tee and pretend to potty, tear off the smallest piece of toilet paper, wipe your hinny, and flush the toilet.

You are an EXTREMELY picky eater!!! You love to eat raisin bran (Pop's favorite cereal) when we are staying at their house in Wheeler or when Pops and Momo stay at our house! But that is the only time you will eat it! If you could, you would just eat graham crackers, veggie chips, and popsicles for every meal!

You had a language explosion over Thanksgiving while we were in Texas! You try to say every phrase or short sentence that we say!

You love to sing "Row Row Row Your Boat".  Sometimes when I sing songs to you, you will say "no no sing!" I think you have realized that I do not have the best singing voice! I remember when we first started attending Rhyme Time at the library that the librarian mentioned that we should sing songs to our toddlers several times throughout the day and that children can't tell if you are a good or bad singer until age 3!  When dada sings to you, you don't tell him "no no sing!"

You love helping us in the kitchen (opening the microwave to make popcorn, opening the fridge to find your sippy, helping us (mainly dada) cook.

We have been working on identifying and labeling shapes. You are beginning to identify circles!

You love to wrestle with your dada and play catch in the evenings once he comes home!

If you get hurt while playing, you will find your drill, touch the drill to your boo-boo, and say "all better!"

We love you so much baby boy! We are very thankful that you are ours!!!

Keep the faith,

Our Christmas

We had our little family Christmas before we left to go to Texas.

Thomas was a little confused when he first saw his new toys under the tree!

Santa came to our house!

We also gave him some play food. The first thing he tried to do with the play food was try to crack the egg. He became very frustrated when it would not break!

He loves combing his horsey's hair and feeding him his carrot.

We enjoyed spending the day together celebrating Christmas at our home. Thomas stayed in his Christmas pjs all day! He would open one present and then say "open please" and play with his toy for a long period of time before he would open another present. So he opened a few in the morning, and then opened a few more after his nap in the evening! He took his time while unwrapping his presents. He would rip off little pieces of wrapping paper and then say "trash. Next, he would go throw away the  little piece of wrapping paper before turning off another piece. I think he had more fun just ripping off little pieces of paper, running to the trash can, and throwing them away!

Keep the faith,
