Thomas and I recently spent some time in Amarillo to visit family and friends!

We were able to watch Jaxon's first flag football game! He did an AWESOME job!
Whenever he heard us cheering for him, he would look over at us and smile! Every time he saw me taking pictures during his game, he would look at me and smile! I was so happy that I was able to watch his very first flag football game!

Thomas played on a blanket during Jaxon's football game and discovered the grass!

Look at the big smile on Jaxon's face! Love him!

More big smiles!

I love these boys!

Thomas and his Gigi
Thomas loved playing with Jaxon's teddy bear!
And he loved receiving lots of hugs & kisses from his family!

Thomas with his Aunt Toto, cousin Jaxon, and his Gigi

We were able to spend time with this cutie and her mom, dad, and gammy on Saturday!
I also love this cutie pie!

I know these pictures are blurry but I love them!
1. Meredith holding Maddox and Thomas
2. I decided to jump in the picture with them and hold Maddox (Maddox did not like this idea!).
3. Two screaming babies and their mommas.
4. I gave Maddox back to her momma!

We loved spending time in Amarillo with our family and friends!

A Poem

I tiptoed into your room one night.
I watched you sleeping there.
Your tiny body looked so snug
Wrapped in peaceful slumber's care.
I thought of how you came to be
The child we'd longed to know.
I wondered at the sight of you:
"How could she let you go?"

Tears streamed down my cheeks as I
Felt the pain she must have known.
For I will have to let you go
Some day when you are grown.
A mother I might never meet
Had given me her son.
Yet, surely as you've filled my heart,
A piece of hers you'd won.

"How could she let you go?"
The question kept returning.
And in the depths of my own heart.
A question kept on burning.
"How can I ever let you go
When years have come and gone?"

I stood there by your crib until
The nighttime turned to dawn.

And as the sun peeked through the shades,
The voice of God broke through.
"I trusted her to give him life
And now I'm trusting you.
"To show him what is right and wrong,
to love him and to be
The one who teaches him the way
To come back home to me.
"He wasn't hers to give, you know.
And he's not yours to own.
I've placed him in your life to love
But he is mine … on loan."

Thomas and I were able to spend some time with our family in Oklahoma!

(Warning: Long post with lots of pictures!)

Kensley and Thomas

Thomas received tons of kisses from Momo!

Reagan enjoyed playing with her brownie! She would smash little pieces of her brownie on her feet!

Thomas had his first bath in the kitchen sink!

Aunt Beth had some cool toys at her house!

My mom, my grandpa (my mom's dad), and Thomas

My grandma told me that this high chair is almost 100 years old!

"Mmmm sweet potatoes"

Thomas and his Gigi

We tied him in the highchair using a towel! Thomas didn't seem to mind as long as he was able to eat his food!

Thomas and his Aunt Nancy!

Relaxing with Great Papa

Thomas had so much fun playing with his cousins! It was a little crazy at times at my aunt and uncle's house with four kids four years old and younger but it was so much FUN!

Thomas and Reagan in the middle of a conversation!

Thomas is saying, "I have more to tell you, Reagan!"
A great pic of Renee and Taylor!

Thomas also took a bath in the big bathtub without his baby tub at my aunt and uncle's house one night!

We had so much FUN with our family in Oklahoma, and we wish we could see everyone more often!

Next: Pictures from Amarillo & Wheeler!

1st Airplane Ride!

Thomas recently rode on his first airplane from Jackson to Memphis and then Memphis to Oklahoma City! He was WONDERFUL at the airport and on the airplane!  One man that was on the same route as us going home told me that Thomas was the happiest, most calm and content baby he had ever seen on an airplane and at the airport before!
He slept on the first airplane ride from Jackson to Memphis. But then he was ready to play from Memphis to Oklahoma City. Luckily, I had an empty seat next to me on that airplane so Thomas had more room to play. My mom met us at the airport, and we visited family in OK and TX!
Everyone was EXTREMELY helpful while we were at the airport! One lady helped me board the plane and then she walked with me and carried my bag to my terminal in Memphis. The co-pilot also helped me with my bags while I walked off the airplane! Three different ladies at the airport asked me if Thomas was a girl (he was dressed in a yellow and blue outfit). This has never happened before!
Of course, I needed to change his diaper two different times in the bathroom on the airplane! I think that should be a skill that you could list on your resume! If any parents are going to fly with their babies anytime soon, they definitely need to take disposable changing pads, travel size clorox wipes, and use a backpack instead of a diaper bag!

Thomas is waiting on me to organize our luggage so I could carry it all & push him in the airport parking lot!

We made it through security!

Thomas playing on the airplane. He looked like a "big boy" sitting in his own seat!

Thomas fell asleep as soon as we landed in OKC!

Thomas and I had a great experience flying! I am not as nervous now when I think about flying home for the holidays, and I know Brandon will be with us then! I have already started praying that the weather in the Texas panhandle is not crazy during Thanksgiving and Christmas!
